  1. It seems to me that you need an idea that will help to bring together all the peoples of the world to share your vision of hope and cooperation. A big part of the problem today is that we do not see the tools we need to build a better tomorrow. I would like share my vision of a tool that will help us to realize the shared dreams of humanity, empowering all peoples to build a better tomorrow.

The base concept is fairly simple, it is a democratic charity. The easiest way to understand it is to think of…

  6. It is evident that the framers of the infamous Digital Millenium Copyright Act intended it to have a transformative effect on the public and legal perception of intellectual property. In the attempt to develop a fully-realized definition of what constitutes infringement, fair use, and the rights of users in the consumption of digital works, the DMCA has had quite the opposite effect by institutionalizing considerable legal ambiguity. The recent spat between the John McCain presidential campaign and YouTube has demonstrated that both practitioners of law and a leading supporter of the DMCA are no closer to understanding the controversial law…

  9. Leave those alone or free from persecution and prosecution those who download for fun or personal pleasure, very much like the days when we could all enjoy the taping of a favorite film or music to watch at home with a friend, with no worries. We bought the movie, tape, disc, book etc and loaned it out to a friend etc. It's the ones trying to selling the stuff, making a profit off, running a business that the RIAA et al should be concerned with not the individual that justs is curious for a few hours then probably discards it…

  12. We need to create a national social network that enables people to gather in live, public Conversation Spaces running on open source software such as http://palspace.tv

Citizens can self organize according to locale, issue, authority, etc. into communities that host on-going public discussions.

Officials, subject matter experts, stakeholders, journalists, students, reseachers, ... in short everyone.. will be able to join in moderated conversations about any social concern.

Conversations will be supported by easy access to tools such as related maps, charts, media, and more throught the use of an integrated suite of applets.

Citizens can install a destop application, phone…

  13. The patriot act had many sub-ordinate clauses that strip away our privacy as American citizens. These were shoehorned in as an effort to protect us, while they in fact strip us of certain rights to privacy as citizens. Lets protect our nation while ensuring confidence and privacy to our citizens.

  14. We need to know who is being elected or appointed to do what, wherever they are, whatever their level of authority...municipal, state or federal.

We need to know how and when to contact them, what their voting records and/or other accomplishments are, who helped them get elected or appointed, who they are in contact with regarding official business, and more.

We need to provide human assistance to people who need information or who would like to contribute.

The information needs to available in a variety of formats so that we can all access it using various devices and various interfaces…

  17. The government has failed to take the lead on completing the task of moving the country completely to the SI metric system. George H.W. Bush tried to do something about it, but gave the bureaucrats an easy out. Failure to follow the same measurement standards as the rest of the world is costing US industry something like $1 trillion per year.

  18. Let's open the space program to corporate sponsorship - we could save billions of tax dollars by allowing companies to sponsor space suits (Nike?), tools (Stanley, Dewalt?), or anything else involved in space flights. Spacecraft are large and could fit lots of ads think of sport stadiums, NASCAR, BASS.

  19. These dogs may be rare in the states, but we have two, a mom and her son. They are about 25 pounds an knee high. They love to play, hug and most especially, incredibly non-allergenic. More so than poodles, waterdogs an laberdoodles. They aren't in the AKC yet because there aren't enough of them in the states yet, they are very popular in europe. They look like an Egytian Pharoah Hound. The are incredibly sweet dogs
