Decriminalize marijuana use for recreational purposes.
If alcohol is legal, marijuana should be as well. It's health risks are significantly less than those attributed to alcohol consumption. And, to be honest, everybody loves smoking marijuana.

Provide unlimited, online access to libarary collections.
Our nation's libraries - both public and academic - contain vast sums of information, and making that information available online, for free, to anyone who would seek to access it, can and should be a high priority of this office. If someone can read it, listen to it, or watch it when they visit a library, surely we can find a way to provide them that same access via the Internet.

Agroforestry for Global Warming
I am not sure that this high tech oriented environment is right, but I will give it a try.
There is a lot of fuss about global warming, but PhDs generate nonsense on grand scales. And Scientific American demonstrated this in its latest special issue:
Firstly by repeating a false dilemma: Biofuels or Food? As we need arable land to grow organic matter for biofuels!
Then a big Catch-22 article: Water vs. Energy. As we need fresh water to grow organic matter!
Then: Bury carbon dioxide. As there are plenty safe places underground to store compressed gas. Furthermore, nobody appears…5 votes -

Protect scientific research from ideologies and religions.
Scientific research of all disciplines is continually hampered and stifled by regulations from all sorts of directions, motivated by political agendas, ideological censorship, via a variety of religious or superstitious motivations. This must not be. Science is what drives progress and improves everyone's lives, even when the benefits don't seem to come readily visible or available. Science must be ensured to work freely and openly, and not clamped down.

Fund AI research, both weak and strong
Whether it's the economy, energy, education, health care or national security, one of the common aspects of each of these challenges is that they require decision making in the face of uncertainty. This is one of the things that AI can excel at.
AI got a bad rap early on after promises that a "thinking machine" was right around the corner proved to be vapor, but it's a reality whose time is coming. We are making rapid advances in understanding the brain. We have cars that are starting to drive themselves. We have started to understand the mathematical origin of…

Reduce Spam
Help reduce spam by mandating signing that includes the expected IP address of sender. If e-mail comes from Joe@abc.com, but the ip included in the signature does not match abc.com or common sites such as salesforce.com that mail as a user on another domain, it can be filtered out. Revisit CAN-SPAM as it hasn't helped.

Institute the Fair Tax
GET RID OF THE IRS. TAXED ON WHAT YOU BUY, NOT WHAT YOU EARN. THIS IS NOT A FLAT TAX. www.fairtax.org
The FairTax Act (HR 25, S 1025) is nonpartisan legislation. It abolishes all federal personal and corporate income taxes, gift, estate, capital gains, alternative minimum, Social Security, Medicare, and self-employment taxes and replaces them with one simple, visible, federal retail sales tax administered primarily by existing state sales tax authorities.22 votes -
Allow private domain registration for .us domains
As it stands now, you have to expose all your personal information to register a .us domain name. Law enforcement agencies have access to the information behind each private registration anyway, why expose us to spam, harassment and worse?

Fund Fusion Technology Projects Similar to the ITER
France is beginning construction on the ITER (International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor), a tokamak style reactor to be functioning by 2016. The US has not been the leader in nuclear and fusion technologies in recent years. The US is lagging behind in scientific innovation in this area. Projects like the ITER and institutions like CERN (makers of the largest particle accelerator and the worlds most sensitive "camera") make the US pale in comparison.
Furthermore, nuclear / fusion electrical production has a minuscule carbon footprint when compared to that of the "cleanest" coal fired plant. In fact, technologically we are closer to…

Implement a national rfid tagging program
A national mandatory rfid tagging program if done in a secure mannor would solve many of our issues. It would virtually eliminate identity theft if all credit, banking info was on an embeded rfid tag. This could be made comletely secure by using a three factor authentication rfid/retnal scanner/vein reader. We could also use such a system to track forigners here on a visa etc. Basicaly this would be a big bother solution and the technology is already here.

Because anyone can vote from any where as often as he/she can refresh the page. Waste of time. At least use the ip address to ensure only US citizens vote and vote only once per IP address.

Provide free WiFi at all Airports and public places
WiFi connectivity has become a lifeline for many businessmen and other users, specially when they are on-the-go. At a very trivial costs, all airports should be able to provide free WiFi to the public.
Many airports contract with 3rd party providers, but these providers sell 10-24 hour long tokens and charge a lot, while the user only needs connectivity for much much less.
