Attract top global talent through enlarged H1-B visa program
US is the global leader in high tech innovation. However, our top position is under threat as our industries are increasingly unable to hire qualified scientists and engineers.
The H1B program has helped the US attract top technical minds from around the world to fuel our technology sector for years, helping us stay ahead of rapidly emerging countries like India and China who would otherwise retain such talent. Even as our technology industry expands to compete in the global market, fewer H1B visas are being offered to attract global talent to the US, putting us at a disadvantage in recruitment, and forcing US companies to open R&D facilities overseas.
We need to open our doors to the most qualified people of the world who can help us develop a more technologically advanced and prosperous economy in a time of domestic talent-shortage, even as we invest more in our science and engineering education programs to train the engineers and scientists of the future.

H1B visas bring smart people into this county. Most stay here and become citizens. Don't limit the number of these highly valuable people, expand the number. They build companies, create jobs and foster innovation.
You can cheat any system... that doesn't mean it's fundamentally flawed and you should throw it out. More people come here on H1B Visas with good intentions than bad.
