Require Laws to be Readable by the General Public
Laws are currently written in such a way that they are inaccessible to the general public.
Without being able to make informed decisions, by understanding the laws which our legislators are voting for we are forced to take their word on the issue. This promotes a government based on charisma rather than real consideration of the issues.
I suggest that each law be required to have an easy to understand non-legalese version to which legislators can be held accountable.

As a grad of Crim. Just. I understand how confusing lawyer speak is. Just when you think you got it right, your brief was completely off in left field. Making legislation and law understandable for the average human would definitely benefit all. Of course, it would put a lot of lawyers out of business. Would that be so bad? Also, I think is a job for the new tech officer, albeit low tech.
