How about instead of fixed number of points, you index them to the number of posts, or the number of registered users, or something dynamic rather than static? There are way too many good posts on this site I'd like to be able to vote for.

Further, now that the site has matured, early posts are becoming entrenched at the top, and the hundreds or newer ones are buried at the bottom, out of sight. There needs to be a better way of bringing good, newer posts out of obscurity, and providing more votes is necessary (but not sufficient) for that..
