Absolutely! If you have read "The world is flat" you will see that this is the primary concern of our modern US. We need to "prime the pump" with bright and innovative people. Just hoping things will happen will not make them so. We need education to get our citizens back up to par with the rest of the world.

Should we eat it? Paint our houses with it? Or just do it and see what happens?

Exactly, INTERPRET is right. If we "followed" the constitution we'd have a LOT different US than we do right now.

Oh, and look at "Ensure reliable & trustworthy election technologies". It would be best to consolidate votes under a single topic.

No, just the opposite. Security through obfuscation always fails. If the code is made public, open source, whatever, everyone has a chance to look at it, find the holes. If the code and algorithms are mathematically strong, as with PGP (a completely open standard), then even if you know the method something is done, the security is not broken. Check out PGP dot ORG

I like this idea... but the market has already begun to answer your issue. Apter, GM, Honda... all are bringing viable electric cars to the market.

Now, what value does a statement like this have when you hide behind anonymity?

America is falling behind... we need to focus our incredible resource of brainpower in this country to move forward in energy technologies.

All that is needed is funding, look at the XPrize and the amazing strides those programs have made.

Imagine what could have been done with all the money, wasted in war, that could be putting us well ahead of the rest of the world on Energy independence.

A number of industry leaders (Google, Yahoo) and standards bodies (IETF) have already begun work and have made significant strides towards an open, reliable and secure system to enable electronic voting / ballots.

As it is with today's unreliable, hackable and secret method of eVoting, security through obfuscation is not an appropriate model for voting.

    Please make this a priority.
