    I support the intent of this idea, but we shouldn't even be using the term "intellectual property". See the <a href="http://www.fsf.org/licensing/essays/not-ipr.xhtml">Free Software Foundation's essay "Did You Say `Intellectual Property'? It's a Seductive Mirage"</a> for a good explanation of why this is bad.

    Let's be more specific. EFF is concerned with many things outside the concern of CTOOTUS. Recently, they've published a series of proposed agendas for the new administration: A privacy agenda, an innovation agenda, and a transparency agenda.     We should do more than just decriminalize it; we should legalize it. But this is not related to a national CTO's duties.
