Instead of taxing builders, i think homeowners should get property tax breaks for more energy efficient homes. This way, buyers will want things built more efficiently, and this would encourage the builders to make them this way.

Let's not call it "decriminalization" but rather, "ending prohibition" of marijuana. Then we can look at the reasons why it was made illegal, and realize how invalid those arguments were. And also how its prohibition is preventing us from making huge leaps in medicine, such as further research into how marijuana cures cancer.

One of the biggest problems with public education today is that students have such limited time in the classroom. My children probably have half hour classes, during which teachers pretty much passing out and collecting assignments and doing tests, and my kids are teaching themselves at home with their text books and HOURS of homework.
