  1. ECONOMIC STIMULATION PLAN
    (Paid for by Illegal Immigrants)
It is estimated in the U.S. immigration report that between 12 and 20 million illegal immigrants are living within the confines of the United States borders. It is not argued by many Americans that these illegal immigrants are working jobs here in the United States. This means that there is an enormous amount of tax revenue that has not been taken in from these people. My plan does four things simultaneously: it collects this past revenue, it works to offer citizenship, it creates many jobs for current U.S. citizens, and most importantly…

  2. SINCE MANY COMPANIES ARE NOW DOING LAIDOFF CAUSE OTHERS ARE DOING IT, FOR THOSE THAT CAN SUSTAIN THEIR EMPLOYEES SHOULD BE REWARDED WITH TAX BREAKS OR SOMETHING. AND IF THE COMPANY CAN AFFORD TO HIRE PEOPLE, WHY CAN'T THE COMPANY GET SOME AIDS FROM THE GOVERNMENT? WHY WAITING FOR THE COMPANY TO READY TO FILE BANKRUPTCY THEN HELP? BY THEN, COMPANY ALREADY IN TROUBLE AND ALREADY SENT THEIR EMPLOYEES OUT THE DOOR. ALSO, COMPANIES NOT DOING OFFSHORING SHOULD GET SOME BENEFITS AS WELL. OTHERWISE, MORE JOBS WILL GET CUT IN THE U.S.

  3. The Russians spent nine expensive, deadly, unsuccessful years in a futile effort to win friends and influence people. They finally left with their tails between their legs. Let us not get caught in the same kind of predicament in Afganistan!!!

  4. We have a challenge in our country - Millions of jobs are going away. We have some of the most innovative businesses in the world within our borders, we also have some of the most innovative minds in the world. Some of which will be out of work either now or in the not too distant future. This of course doesn't count the millions who are uncertain about what the future of the job that currently have will be, or are working in a job that has no future, no hope.

What we need is a forum (initially perhaps as…

  5. Lifespan - A Resource- and Energy-Efficient Multi-use Bridge Concept

A major focus of the new administration is the repair of the nation’s crumbling infrastructure, including much needed bridge replacements. Rather than simply replacing the current bridge structures with ones that merely fulfill the function of conveying vehicles, a more efficient and creative solution would be to design structures that serve multiple functions. At http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=plNsDEPyprk is a Youtube video presentation detailing a concept known as Lifespan which combines a bridge structure with a multi-use high-rise.

The concept’s rationale is that land required for multi-use structures could be spared by combining dwelling,…

  6. The Trans Global Highway would physically link by highways and by rail transport, all continents and major population centers. It would allow rapid transport of raw materials and finished goods from near and far. In addition, the Trans Global Highway would offer a conduit for gas, oil and water pipelines, as well as communication and electric power cables. From a technical point of view, the entire road and rail network is feasible, utilizing the engineering, materials and technology of today. The Trans Global Highway would undoubtedly increase global security through mutually dependent trade and commerce.

    The Trans-Global Highway would include:

  8. Obama should have the interest rates on all existing mortgages lowered which would put more money in taxpayers wallets, which in turn would create true stimulus.

  9. We need to get with the program and make physician assisted suicide an acceptable procedure nationwide. It's sad that, short of Ohio and Washington, we do not give the dignity that we give to the common dog. Ohio and Washington are the only states to have adopted physician assisted suicide as an acceptable state policy. Other countries have already done so - Switzerland, Belgium, Luxumburg, and Andalucia (Spain). We need to join the program and make it national.

  11. Instead of blindly providing banks and auto makers with billions of dollars, immediately create jobs within those institutions by placing Govt. Liasons in those companies to "watchdog" the spending. The persons should not be former employees in the industry or politicians but intellects, scholars of economics and business. Their jobs would be to consult and act as a watchdog. If such a position was part of the CitiCorp meeting in which they discussed luxury jets, do you think it would have even made it to the agenda? Big Brother can't watch these companies from Washington. They have to be on…

  15. With gradual inflation, the dollar today will buy what a dime would buy in the 1950s and soon it will worth a 1950s penny. Our currency has become obsolete and dysfunctional. Originally durable coins were meant for daily monetary exchanges and fragile bills for less frequent transactions. Now the penny and nickel are worth less than the metal they contain. Coins have become a valueless nuisance, good only for the ritual of making "exact change." We need to reform our currency.
    Here are several solutions:

Create a new 21st century dollar worth 10 or 100 times the value of our…

  16. As we consider taking all medical records online within five years, let us not forget how big business and government alike have abused consumers in the credit industry. This information is private and sensitive and can cost us jobs, money and opportunities as it is used without our knowledge and consent for purposes not in our best interest. Please, can we take this slowly and make sure that consumer interests are protected first, last and always?

  17. Restructure the EPA to include environmental leaders and green technology companies so that it can become an innovative results driven agency rather than just a regulatory one. It will still need to regulate industries but it also should provide programs, incentives and development direction to help them go green. Using recyclable grocery bags is just not going to get it done.

Humans are the protectors and replicating slaves via sex of DNA and, will forever resist birth control. Even at the cost of future catastrophe.

  19. Why did they quit making the old VW bugs? I got a brand new one for high school graduation in 1972--it cost $2,000!!!! I wish I had never gotten rid of it! Can't we come up with something like this great vehicle again in these desperate times?
